Rekreasyonel Egzersize Motivasyon Ölçeği’nin (REMM) Çocuk Sporcular İçin Geçerlik ve Güvenirliğinin İncelenmesi: Kısa Form

Öz

Araştırmanın amacı; Rekreasyonel Egzersize Motivasyon Ölçeği’nin (REMM) 7-17 yaş arasındaki çocuk ve ergenler için revize ederek kısa formunun geçerlik ve güvenirliğini test etmektir. Araştırma grubunu, küme örnekleme yöntemiyle randomize edilmiş çeşitli kategorilerde (cimnastik, yüzme, yelken, buz pateni, eskrim, futbol, voleybol, basketbol) 188 kadın (x̄= 12,00 sd=2,96 yaş) 192 erkek (x̄= 12,93 sd= 2,53 yaş) toplam 380, ölçüm ve test-tekrar test güvenirliği için ise 55 (kadın 29 x̄= 12,7 sd=2,90 yaş; erkek 26 x̄= 13,0 sd= 2,42 yaş) katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Rogers ve Morris (2003) tarafından geliştirilen ve Gürbüz, Aşçı ve Çelebi (2006) tarafından Türk kültüründe geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmasının gerçekleştirildiği REMM’in kısa formunun oluşturulma sürecinde öncelikle ölçeğin alt boyutlarını en iyi temsil eden maddeler belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra seçilen 10 madde ile tek faktörlü bir model oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan modelin yapı geçerliğini test etmek için Açımlayıcı ve Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda,  REMM’in 7-17 yaş arasındaki çocuklar için tek faktörlü yapısı doğrulanmış ve on madde olarak geçerliliği ispatlanmıştır. Güvenirlik analizi sonucunda, ölçeğin iç tutarlılık katsayıları (α) .83, ölçüm güvenirliği (t=-1,47; p=0,147, p>,05) ve test tekrar test güvenirliği (0,74 ile 0,95, p<,01) olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara dayanarak, REMM’in 7-17 yaş katılımcıların rekreasyonel egzersize katılım motivlerini belirlemek için kullanılabilecek yeterli psikometrik özelliklere sahip bir ölçme aracı olduğu söylenebilir.

Validity and Realiability of Turkish Versions of the Recreational Exercise Motivation Measure (REMM) for Children Athletes: Short Form

Öz

The aim of this study was to test the validity and reliability of the short form to revise for children and adolescent aged among 7-17 of the Recreational Exercise Motivation Measure (REMM).  The research group was consisting of 188 female (Mage= 12,00 sd = 2,96 years) 192 male (Mage= 12,93 sd= 2,53) totally of 380 participants from different branch (gymnastics, swimming, sailing, ice skating, fencing, football, volleyball, basketball) randomized by cluster sampling method for construct validity, and 55 (female 29 Mage = 12,7, sd = 2,90; male 26 Mage = 13,0, sd = 2,42 years) for test-retest reliability. In the process of forming the short form of REMM, which was developed by Rogers and Morris (2003) and conducted the validity and reliability study of Gürbüz, Aşçı and Çelebi (2006) in Turkish culture, the items that represent the sub-dimensions of the scale were determined first. Then, a single factor model was formed with 10 selected items. EFA and CFA were used to test the construct validity of the model. As a result of the analysis, the single factor structure verified of the REMM for participants between 7-17 aged and has proven validity as ten items. As a result of the reliability analysis, the internal consistency coefficient of the REMM was (α) 0,83, the measurement reliability was (t=-1,47; p=0,147, p>,05) and the test-retest reliability was (0,74 and 0,95, p<,01). Based on these results, it can be said that REMM is an instrument that has sufficient psychometric properties can be used determine motivation to participate in recreational exercise of participants aged between 7-17.
