Practice Courses from the Point of View of the Students of Hacettepe University School of Social Work

The
curriculum of HU. School of Social IVork has been changed in line with the
generalist social work practice. Upon this change, the practice courses at the
above- mentioned school have been redesigned ac- cording to this new approach.
The aim of this research is to determine what the firstgroup of students who
attended and satisfactoriiy completed three practice courses (SHO 323 Field
IVork in Social Work Settings I, SHO 423 Field Work in Social IVork Settings
ll, SHO 424 Block Field IVork in Social IVork Settings) follo\ving the
curriculum change think about these courses. The results of the research show
that the actİvities carried out in the practice courses İn cjuestion do not ag-
ree with the descriptions of these courses.

Sosyal Hizmetler Yükse kokulu'nan müfredat programı genelci sosyal hizmet
yaklaşımı doğrultusunda değiştirilmiştir. Bu değişim ile birlikte, uygulama
dersleri de yeni yaklaşım doğrultusunda yeniden planlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada,
değişen müfredat programı sonrası üç uygulama dersini (SHO 323 Sosyal Hizmet
Ortamlarında Uygulama f, SHO 423 Sosyal Hizmet Ortamlarında Uygulama II ve SHO
424 Sosyal Hizmet Ortamlarında Blok uygulama) alıp tamamlayan ilk grubun bu
derslere ilişkin değerlendirmelerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma
bulgularına göre, anılan dersler içeriğinde gerçekleştirilen uygulamalar ile bu
derslerin kur tanımları uyuşmamaktadır.
