Öz

The
interdisciplinary team approach plays an increasingly important role in the
management and care of elderly patients, providing support to patients and
families and helping them adapt to illness and treatment plans. The
interdisciplinary team of geriatrics consists physician, nurse, social worker,
nutritionist, physical therapist and psychologist. Patients’ mortality and
morbidity reduce with comprehensive geriatric assesment and team approach.

GERİATRİST GÖZÜYLE İNTERDİSİPLİNER EKİP

Öz

İnterdisipliner
ekip çalışmasının yaşlı hastaların değerlendirilmesinde, hastaların ve aile
bireylerinin hastalığa ve tedaviye uyumunun sağlamasında artan önemli bir
rolü vardır. İnterdisipliner geriatri ekibi klinisyen, hemşire, sosyal
hizmet uzmanı, beslenme uzmanı, fizyoterapist ve psikologtan oluşur. Kapsamlı
geriatrik değerlendirme ve ekip çalışması ile hastaların mortalite ve
morbiditeleri azalmaktadır.
