TIBBİ SOSYAL HİZMET MÜDAHALELERİNİN ÖNEMİ VE SOSYAL HİZMET UZMANLARININ ROL VE İŞLEVLERİ

Öz

Sağlığın sosyal boyutlarına ilişkin artan farkındalıkla birlikte sağlık alanında sosyal hizmet uzmanlarına olan ihtiyaç daha fazla görünür hale gelmiştir. Sosyal hizmet uzmanları sağlık sistemi içinde önemli roller üstlenmektedir. Bu çalışmada öncelikle sağlık, sağlığa bütüncül bakış ile tıbbı sosyal hizmet tanımlarına yer verilmiş, daha sonra tıbbi sosyal hizmet uygulamalarının önemi, amacı ve tarihsel gelişimi üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışma ile sağlık alanında tıbbi sosyal hizmetin öneminin vurgulanması ve sosyal hizmet uzmanlarının rol ve işlevlerinin somut olarak ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Tıbbi sosyal hizmet alanında yapılan çalışmalardan literatür taranarak oluşturulmuş bu derleme çalışma ile tıbbi sosyal hizmet alanına ilgi duyan okurlara konuya ilişkin temel bilgiler sunulmaktadır. Uygulayıcılara yol gösterebilecek bazı hususlar vurgulanmaktadır ve alana ilişkin öneriler ortaya konmaktadır.

IMPORTANCE OF MEDICAL SOCIAL WORK INTERVENTIONS AND ROLES AND FUNCTIONS OF SOCIAL WORKERS

Öz

With the increasing awareness of the social dimensions of health, the need for social workers in the field of health has become more visible. Social workers play important roles in the health system. In this study, firstly, the definitions of health, a holistic view of health and medical social work are given, then the importance, purpose and historical development of medical social work practices are emphasized. The aim of the study is to emphasize the importance of medical social work in the field of health and to concretely reveal the roles and functions of social workers. This review article, which is created by reviewing the literature from studies in the field of medical social work, provides basic information on the subject to readers interested in the field of medical social work. Some issues that can guide practitioners are emphasized and suggestions regarding the field are presented.
