CİNSEL SAĞLIK ÖLÇEĞİ’NİN SOSYAL HİZMET ÖĞRENCİLERİ ÖRNEKLEMİNDE PSİKOMETRİK ÖZELLİKLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ: GEÇERLİLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

Öz

Sağlığın önemli bir parçası olan cinsel sağlık cinselliğe ilişkin fiziksel, duygusal ve sosyal iyilik halidir. Cinsel sağlıkla ilgili çeşitli problemler psikososyal ve ruhsal sağlığı da olumsuz etkilemektedir. Bireyin iyilik halini gözeten bir meslek ve disiplin olan sosyal hizmet açısından da cinsel sağlıkla ilişkili pek çok farklı konu bulunmaktadır. Çalışma Cinsel Sağlığa Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği’ni Türkçeye uyarlayarak geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek elde etme amacı taşımaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda kaynak kültürden/dilden Türkçeye çevrilen ölçek bağımsız uzmanlar tarafından değerlendirdikten sonra ölçeğin taslak formu elde edilmiştir. Türkiye’de sosyal hizmet bölümünde öğrenci olan toplam 441 kişinin katıldığı çalışmada veriler internet formlar aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler SPSS ve LISREL programlarıyla analiz edilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen birinci ve ikinci düzey doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre 4 alt boyut ve 21 maddeden oluşan Cinsel Sağlık Ölçeği’nin uyum indekslerinin kabul edilebilir aralıklarda olduğu saptanmıştır. Güvenilirliğe ilişkin elde edilen bulgularda ise ölçeğin bütününe ve alt boyutlara ait iç tutarlılığının yüksek olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Sonuç olarak 21 madde ve 4 alt boyuttan oluşan, 5’li likert tipindeki Cinsel Sağlık Ölçeği sosyal hizmet öğrencileri örnekleminde Türkçeye uyarlanmıştır. Uyarlanan ölçeğin cinsel sağlıkla ilişkili yürütülecek çalışmalar açısından önemli bir araç olduğu değerlendirilmiştir.

AN INVESTIGATION OF PSYCHOMETRIC PROPERTIES OF THE SEXUAL HEALTH SCALE IN A SAMPLE OF SOCIAL WORK STUDENTES: A VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY

Öz

Sexual health, which is an important part of health, is physical, emotional and social well-being related to sexuality. Various problems related to sexual health also negatively affect psychosocial and mental health. In terms of social work, which is a profession and discipline that takes care of the well-being of the individual, there are many different issues related to sexual health. The aim of the study is to adapt the Attitudes Towards Sexual Health Scale into Turkish and obtain a valid and reliable scale. For this purpose, the draft form of the scale was obtained after the scale translated from the source culture/language into Turkish was evaluated by independent experts. In the study, in which a total of 441 students in the social work department in Turkey participated, the data were collected through internet forms. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS and LISREL programs. According to the results of the first and second level confirmatory factor analyzes performed, the fit indexes of the Sexual Health Scale, which consists of 4 sub-dimensions and 21 items, were found to be within acceptable ranges. In the findings related to reliability, it was understood that the internal consistency of the total scale and sub-dimensions was high. As a result, the 5-point Likert-type Sexual Health Scale, consisting of 21 items and 4 sub-dimensions, was adapted into Turkish with the sample of social work students. It has been evaluated that the adapted scale is an important tool in terms of studies to be carried out related to sexual health.
