CONSTANTİNOPOLİS’İN HİNTERLANDININ GEÇ ANTİK DÖNEM TİCARETİNE BİR BAKIŞ

Öz

Çalışmada, Antik dönem ve sonrasında gerçekleştirilen ticaret/tedarik ile birlikte bölgenin ekonomik yapısını gösteren en önemli kanıtlardan biri olan amphoralardan yola çıkılmış ve Constantinopolis’in hinterlandı olan Küçükçekmece Göl Havzası’nın (Bathonea?) Geç Roma – Erken Bizans dönemi tüketim özelliklerine yoğunlaşılmıştır. Amphora tiplerinin detaylı incelenmesi sayesinde hangi ürünü taşıdıkları, nereden yola çıktıkları gibi sorular özelinde ilgili yerleşimin gündelik hayatına dair bulgulara ulaşılabilmektedir. Güncel bilgilere dayanarak yerleşimde herhangi bir amphora üretimi ile karşılaşılmamıştır. Tespit edilen amphoraların üretim merkezleri ve Akdeniz ve Karadeniz çevresindeki dağılımı karşılaştırılmış; amphora kronolojisi ve taşıdıkları ürünlerin çeşitleri incelenmiştir. Gerek amphoralar gerekse de amphoralar üzerindeki mühür ve çeşitli yazıtlar birlikte ele alınarak, yerleşimin ticaretine/tedariğine dair değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda yerleşimin Constantinopolis ile olan ticari ve tüketimsel bağlantısı açıkça görülebilmektedir. Yerleşimdeki en büyük yoğunluğu Kilikia (LRA 1) ve çoğunlukla Ege (LRA 2) üretimi amphoralar meydana getirmektedir. Bunun dışında karşılaşılan amphora tipleri ise, Doğu Akdeniz, Kuzey Afrika ve Doğu Karadeniz’den gelen gruplardan oluşmaktadır.
