Turkish Journal of Engineering

The Turkish Journal of Engineering (TUJE) is an international, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in engineering and the basic sciences. The journal publishes articles in English and appears quarterly, in January, April, July, and October. TUJE provides a platform for disseminating original research that contributes to scientific understanding, technological development, and engineering practice.

The journal welcomes theoretical, experimental, computational, and applied studies across engineering disciplines and related scientific fields. It encourages interdisciplinary contributions that connect fundamental scientific principles with engineering methods, technologies, and practical applications. Submissions are evaluated according to their originality, methodological rigor, scientific contribution, relevance to the journal’s scope, and clarity of presentation.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal and compliance with its submission requirements. Manuscripts selected for external review are evaluated by at least three independent subject specialists through a double-anonymous (double-blind) peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision, taking into account the reviewers’ reports, the authors’ responses, and the journal’s editorial policies.

Submission requires confirmation that the manuscript presents original work, has not been published previously, is not under consideration by another journal, and has been approved by all authors. Authors are accountable for the accuracy and integrity of their research, appropriate acknowledgment of sources, disclosure of funding and competing interests, and compliance with applicable ethical requirements. Editors and reviewers are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, impartiality, and integrity throughout the evaluation process.

TUJE provides immediate open access to its published articles, enabling readers to access research without subscription or registration barriers. Authors retain copyright and grant the publisher non-exclusive publication rights. Articles previously published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license retain that license.

Effective from Volume 11, Issue 1 (2027), all articles published in the Turkish Journal of Engineering (TUJE) will be open-access articles distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Articles published before this issue remain subject to the licenses under which they were originally published.
