The necessity of addressing the different dimensions of the relationship between work and leisure in a more comprehensive manner is of significant importance. In particular, evaluating the scope and trends of studies conducted on work-leisure conflict in the literature holds critical importance for the development of this field. This study aims to present a comprehensive review of the existing literature on work-leisure conflict through a bibliometric analysis conducted in the Scopus database. In this context, a survey model was used to systematically examine the existing literature, and the accumulated knowledge on the subject was analyzed using bibliometric methods. Studies that included the keyword "work-leisure conflict" in the "title," "keywords," and "abstract" sections were scanned in the Scopus database. As a result of the screening, the bibliometric data of a total of 36 studies published between 1992 and 2024 were analyzed. To present the obtained data in a more comprehensible and visual manner, the VOSviewer 1.6.20 statistical program was utilized. The findings revealed that studies in this field have increased since 1992, with a notable acceleration observed after 2014. The year 2023 was identified as the year with the highest number of publications on work-leisure conflict. These results indicate that the relationship between work and leisure has become an increasingly critical topic in the context of modern work dynamics, individual well-being, and work-life balance. The findings of the study highlight the trends in the literature and identify research gaps, providing guiding information for future studies.
