Dianthus dumanii: Orta Anadolu jipsli bozkırlarından yeni bir tür

Öz

Eskişehir’den (Türkiye) toplanan örnekler, bilim dünyası için yeni bir tür olarak tanıtıldı. Dianthus dumanii (Caryophyllaceae) olarak adlandırılan tür, yaklaşık olarak 700–800 metre aralığındaki jipsli bozkırlarda yetişir. Petal üstünün kremsi-beyaz, epikaliks pullarının geniş zarlı ve çiçeklerinin kısa olması türü yakın olduğu D. zonatus taksonlarından ayıran en belirgin özelliklerdir. Türün betimlemesi, yakın taksonlarla karşılaştırılması, fotoğrafları, yayılışı ve ekolojik tercihleri verilmiştir.

Dianthus dumanii: A new species from the Central Anatolian gypsum-bearing steppes

Öz

The specimens collected from Eskişehir, Turkey, have been identified as a new species for the world of science. The species, which is named Dianthus dumanii (Caryophyllecae), grows in gypsum-bearing steppes at elevations of approximately 700−800 meters. The creamy-white on top of the petals, the epicalyx scales with broad membranes and the fact that the flowers are short are the most evident characteristics, which differentiate the species from similar species. The description of the species, comparison with the similar taxa, photographs, distribution and ecological preferences have been given.
