Türk Ana Babalarının Çocuklarının Eğitim Öğretimlerine Katılım Düzeyleri

Öz

Bu araştırma ile okur-yazar Türk ana-babalarının çocuklarının eğitim- öğretimlerine katılım düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmacı tarafından ana- babaların çocuklarının eğitim-öğretimlerine katılımlarını ölçmek amacıyla Likert tipi bir tutum ölçeği geliştirilmiştir. Veriler; araştırma kapsamına giren ana-babaların bu ölçeğe verdikleri cevaplardan oluşmuş ve onların sosyo-ekonomik seviyeleri, eğitim düzeyleri, çocuklarının devam ettikleri okul seviyeleri bağımsız değişkenler olarak belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, ana- babaların katılımları ve çocuklarının akademik başarıları arasındaki ilişki de incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular ana- babaların yüksek sayılabilecek bir katılım düzeyine sahip olduklarını göstermiş ve üniveriste mezunu ana-babaların üniversite mezunu olmayan ana-babalara göre çocuklarının eğitim-öğretimlerine ve istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir düzeyde daha fazla katıldıkları bulunmuştur. Ana-babaların çocuklarının eğitim-öğretimlerine katılımları ve çocuklarının akademik başarıları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu görülmüştür. Bulgular doğrultusunda, ana-babaların çocukların eğitim ve öğretimlerine katılımlarını arttıracağı düşünülen öneriler sunulmuş çalışılmıştır
