Farklı Gelir Grubuna Sahip Ülkelerde Dijital Bölünmenin Boyutu ve Belirleyicileri

Öz

Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerindeki ilerlemelerin ekonomik gelişmenin önemli bir belirleyicisi olduğunun tespit edilmesi ile birlikte dijital bölünme, araştırmacıların ve politika uygulayıcılarının dikkatini çekmeye başlamıştır. Yapılan çalışmalar genellikle dijital bölünmenin ölçülmesi ve dijital bölünmenin arkasında yatan etmenleri ortaya koymayı amaçlamıştır. Bu çalışmada, 2007-2013 döneminde farklı gelir grubuna sahip ülkelerde dijital bölünmenin boyutu ve dijital bölünmenin belirleyicileri panel veri analiz yöntemi kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, dijital bölünmenin belirleyicilerinin ülkelerin gelir grubuna göre farklılık gösterdiğini ve dijital bölünmenin küresel bir sorun olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu sonuç, dijital bölünmenin ortaya çıkardığı sorunların azaltılabilmesi için küresel işbirliğinin gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır.
