KONTEYNER HATLARININ FİNANSAL PERFORMANSLARININ OPERASYONEL NİTELİKLER ÜZERİNDEN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Öz

Lojistik aktivitelerinin can damarı olarak nitelendirilen konteyner
taşımacılığı yoğun rekabet ortamı, yüksek maliyet ve karlılığın azalması
sebebiyle farklı stratejiler geliştirmeye mecbur kalmıştır. Özellikle son
yıllarda, konteyner hatları çözümü stratejik birleşmelerde ve gemi
paylaşımlarında aramaktadır. Ancak bu çözümler navlun oranlarının ve operasyon
içeriklerinin birbirine benzer hale gelmesine yol açmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı
farklılaşma imkânı tanımaya konu olabilecek konteyner taşımacılığı
operasyonlarının ve operasyon sürecinin konteyner hatlarının finansal
performansına etkilerini incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Türkiye’de bulunan
ancak tüm dünyada faaliyet gösteren uluslararası 104 konteyner hattı acentesi
temsilcilerinden veriler toplanmış ve kısmi en küçük kareler yol analizi yöntemi
uygulanmıştır. Analizler sonucunda finansal performans üzerinde en büyük ve
anlamlı etkinin operasyon sürecine, en düşük ve anlamlı etkinin ise temel
operasyonlara ait olduğu görülmüştür.
