Stereotipik hareketler atlarda yaygın olarak görülen ancak yetiştiriciler ve Veteriner Hekimler tarafından yeterince bilinmeyen bir problemdir. Stres ve uygun olmayan bakım koşulları nedeni ile oluşan bu problem, oral ve lokomotor olmak üzere ikiye ayrılır. Barındırma ve yönetimin düzenlenmesi ve gerekli durumlarda farmakolojik tedavinin yardımı ile çözümlenebilmektedir. Bu derlemenin amacı atlarda yaygın olarak görülen bu davranış probleminin sebep ve sonuçlarına dikkat çekmek ve tedavi olasılıklarını irdelemektir
