The Structure of Subjective Well-Being and Its Relationship with Parenting Style, Self Esteem and Social Support: A Model Test

Öz

In this study, it is aimed to test the structure formed by some variables that might influence the formation of subjective well-being as a whole (or as a model). When searching answers to research questions consulted to structural equation modeling techniques. The research group is determined as 369 students training at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of Ankara University. Results of analysis of data showed that the structure which relays in the first model is supported as a whole. It is determined that fit indices of second model are given average results by the results of analysis. Though some fit indices show a good fit not the all indices are fit good. Thus, it is concluded that the second model is not supported. In general, * Arş. Gör. Öznel İyi Oluşun Yapısı ve Anababa Tutumları, Özsaygı Ve Sosyal Destekle İlişkisi: Bir Model Sınaması

Öz

Bu çalışmada, öznel iyi oluşun oluşmasında etki edebilecek bazı değişkenlerin bir bütün halinde (model olarak) oluşturdukları yapının test edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma sorularına yanıt aranırken yapısal eşitlik modellemesi tekniğine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma grubuna Ankara Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde eğitim görmekte olan toplam 369 öğrenci dahil edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda 1. modelde yer alan yapı bir bütün olarak desteklenmiştir. 2. modele ait uyum indekslerinin ortalama sonuçlar verdiği tespit edilmiştir. Bazı uyum indekslerinde iyi uyum sergilese de kabul edilen bütün indeksler bakımından iyi uyum sergilemediği için 2. modelin desteklenmediği sonucuna varılmıştır. Sonuçlara genel olarak bakıldığında, ana baba tutumlarının doğrudan özsaygıyla ve algılanan sosyal destekle ilişkili olduğu, ayrıca algılanan sosyal destek ve özsaygının bu yapı içerisinde öznel iyi oluşla ilişkili olduğu söylenebilir.
