Havalimanı Sürdürülebilirliği Üzerine Akademik Çalışmaların Haritalanması: Bibliyometrik Bir Çözümleme

Öz

Bu araştırma, havalimanlarında sürdürülebilirlik konusundaki akademik çalışmaları kapsamlı biçimde değerlendirmek amacıyla bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle yürütülmüştür. Veri seti, 1998–2025 yılları arasında yayımlanan ve Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanından “airport” ve “sustainability” anahtar kelimeleriyle elde edilen toplam 398 yayından oluşmaktadır. Çalışma, havalimanı sürdürülebilirliğini çevresel, sosyal ve ekonomik boyutlarıyla inceleyerek alandaki eğilimleri, iş birliklerini ve tematik gelişmeleri ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Analiz sürecinde Bibliometrix (R paketi) yazılımı kullanılmıştır. Yayın eğilimleri, yazar, kurum, ülke üretkenliği ve anahtar kelime ilişkileri olmak üzere üç temel aşama uygulanmıştır. Bu kapsamda yıllara göre yayın artışları ve atıf yoğunlukları incelenmiş, en üretken araştırmacılar ve öne çıkan temalar belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, en çok incelenen temaların çevresel sürdürülebilirlik, enerji verimliliği, hizmet kalitesi ve yolcu memnuniyeti olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çin ve Güney Kore’nin en üretken ülkeler olduğu, araştırma iş birliklerinin ise genellikle bölgesel düzeyde yoğunlaştığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca son yıllarda çalışmaların iklim değişikliği, sürdürülebilir kalkınma ve yapay zekâ temalarına yöneldiği saptanmıştır. Genel olarak literatürün disiplinler arası bir yapıya dönüştüğü, ancak sosyal ve politik boyutların hâlâ sınırlı kaldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Mapping Academic Research on Airport Sustainability: A Bibliometric Analysis

Öz

This research was conducted using bibliometric analysis methods to comprehensively evaluate academic studies on sustainability at airports. The data set consists of a total of 398 publications published between 1998 and 2025 and obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database using the keywords ‘airport’ and ‘sustainability’. The study aims to examine airport sustainability in its environmental, social, and economic dimensions, revealing trends, collaborations, and thematic developments in the field. The Bibliometrix (R package) software was used in the analysis process. Three main stages were applied: publication trends, author, institution, and country productivity, and keyword relationships. Within this scope, publication increases and citation densities over the years were examined, and the most productive researchers and prominent themes were identified. The research found that the most frequently studied themes were environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, service quality, and passenger satisfaction. China and South Korea were identified as the most productive countries, while research collaborations were generally concentrated at the regional level. Furthermore, it was noted that recent studies have shifted towards themes such as climate change, sustainable development, and artificial intelligence. Overall, it was concluded that the literature has become interdisciplinary in nature, although social and political dimensions remain limited.
