VAN İLİ GEVAŞ İLÇESİNDE ATIK YAPAN KOYUNLARDA NEOSPORA CANİNUM’UN SEROPREVALANSI

Öz

Bu
çalışmada Van ili Gevaş ilçesinde koyunlarda abort etkenlerinden Neospora caninum’a karşı oluşan antikor
varlığının serolojik olarak belirlenmesi hedeflendi. Bu amaçla Van ili Gevaş
ilçesinde atık şikayeti ile başvuran hayvan sahiplerinin işletmesine gidilerek
atık sonrası 16. güne kadar olan 80 adet koyundan usulüne uygun olarak V. jugularisten kan örnekleri alındı.
Alınan kan örneklerinden RBC, HCT, HB, RDW, PLT, WBC Nötrofil, Lenfosit ve
Eozonofil düzeyleri belirlendi. Biyokimya tüpüne alınan kan örneklerinden de
serum elde edilerek Neospora caninum’a karşı oluşmuş antikorların varlığı tür
spesifik ELISA test kiti ile belirlendi. Elde edilen absorbans değerlerine göre
N. caninum antikorları açısından
pozitif koyun bulunmazken, koyunların 72’sinin negatif, 8’inin ise şüpheli
olduğu belirlendi. Sonuç olarak; elde edilen bulgular ışığında Van ili Gevaş
ilçesinde abort yapan 80 koyunda her ne kadar pozitif değer görülmese de 8 adet
şüpheli sonucun olması N. caninum’un
bölgede olabileceği, konuyla ilgili bölgede koruma ve kontrol uygulamalarının
yapılması gerektiği kanaatine varıldı.

Seroprevalence of Neospora caninum in Aborted Sheep in Gevaş District of Van Province

Öz

In this
study, it was aimed to determine the presence of antibodies, via serologically,
against Neospora caninum which caused abortion in sheep in Van/Gevaş. For
this purpose, in Van province, Gevaş district, the animal owners who applied
with the complaint of abort were visited. Eighty sheep which had aborted until
the 16th day were included in the study. Blood samples were collected from the
jugular vein for diagnosis. RBC, HCT, HB, RDW, PLT, WBC neutrophil, lymphocyte
and eosonophil levels were determined. Serum was obtained from the blood
samples and the antibodies against Neospora
caninum
was determined by the species-specific ELISA assay. According to
the absorbance values obtained, it was determined that there were no positive
sheep in terms of N. caninum
antibodies and 72 of the sheep were negative and 8 were suspicious. As a
result; in light of the findings; although no positive value was found in 80
sheepin Van/Gevas district which had aborted, due to 8 suspicious results, the N. caninum can be present in the region.
Regarding the issue, protection and control practices should be carried out in
the region
.
