ENTROPİ ve EATWOS YÖNTEMLERİ İLE TÜRKİYE KONTEYNER LİMANLARININ VERİMLİLİK ANALİZİ

Öz

Amaç: Uluslararası ticarette denizyolu taşımacılığının önemi oldukça fazladır. Dünya ticaretinin yaklaşık %90’ı denizyolu ile yapılmaktadır. Ülkemizde ise bu oran yaklaşık %86’dır. Ülke limanlarının etkin ve verimli bir şekilde çalışması ülke ekonomisini ve dış ticareti olumlu şekilde etkilemektedir. Günümüzde konteyner taşımacılığının giderek artması nedeniyle bu limanların etkin ve verimli işlev görmesi son derece önem arz etmektedir.


Yöntem:
Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren konteyner limanlarının verimliliklerini irdelemek için Entropi ve EATWOS Yöntemlerinden oluşan hibrit bir verimlilik analizi yapılmıştır. Entropi Yöntemi ile girdi ve çıktı faktörlerinin ağırlık dereceleri belirlenmiş, EATWOS Yöntemi ile konteyner limanlarının verimlilik değerleri hesaplanmıştır.

Bulgular: Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre verimlilik değerleri yüksek çıkan limanların teknik ve operasyonel olarak diğer limanlardan daha iyi limanlar olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte yük elleçleme miktarı yüksek olan limanların verimlilik değerlerinin diğer limanlara oranla daha yüksek olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

Özgünlük: Literatürde, limanlarla ilgili bu yöntemle yapılmış bir çalışmaya rastlanmamıştır. Yapılan çalışmanın literatürdeki bu eksikliği dolduracağı öngörülmektedir.

EFFICIENCY ANALYSIS OF TURKEY CONTAINER PORTS WITH ENTROPY AND EATWOS METHODS

Öz

Purpose: The importance of international trade in maritime transport is very high. Approximately 90% of the world trade is carried out by sea. In our country, this rate is around 86%. The effective and efficient operation of the country ports, positively affects the national economy and foreign trade. Today, due to the increasing number of container transportation, it is of utmost importance that these ports function effectively and efficiently.

Methodology: In this study, to analyze the efficiency of container ports operating in Turkey, a hybrid analysis method consisting of Entropy and EATWOS methods are made. Weight values of input and output factors were determined by Entropy method and efficiency values of container ports were calculated by EATWOS method.

Findings: According to the results of the study, it has been observed that ports with high efficiency values are technically and operationally better ports than other ports. However, it has been understood that the efficiency values of ports with high cargo handling amount are higher than other ports.

Originality: In the literature, there has been no previous study about ports made with this method. It is predicted that this study will fill this gap in the literature.
