Öz

Birds are poisoned by exposure to potentially toxic substances in nature and our homes. In birds, herbal poisons, cyanotoxins, zootoxins, bacterial toxins, and mycotoxins cause poisoning. Most breeders do not have information about possible toxic substances. Diagnosis is clinically difficult. The diagnosis depends on anamynesis and clinical symptoms, and clinically specific toxicity tests cannot be conducted. In this review, brief information will be given about wild birds, domestic and caged birds, herbal poisons that cause poisoning in poultry, and poisoning caused by some toxins and their treatments.
