Leadership is an indispensable element of institutions and organizations from past to present. Leadership styles, on the other hand, continue to change and innovate. The concept of whistleblowing, on the other hand, is an approach that benefits organizations and societies and deals with the correction of these situations by revealing mistakes. The aim of the study is to determine the relationship between ethical leadership and the concept of whistleblowing. In this descriptive study, quantitative research design is used. The data collected in the study, which is carried out with the participation of 539 academicians, are subjected to statistical analysis. For the validity of the scales, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-tests between independent groups, one-way analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis are performed. As a result of the correlation analysis, it is seen that there are significant relationships between ethical leadership and internal and external sub-dimensions of whistleblowing intention. According to the regression analysis, ethical leadership positively affects whistleblowing behavior. In addition, it is concluded that increasing ethical leadership behaviors would decrease external whistleblowing behavior. It can be said that this result enables to reveal the whistleblowing intention of ethical leadership behaviors. As a result of the relevant results, it is tried to contribute to the literature.
