The aim of the study is to determine the attitudes of healthcare professionals about teamwork and to examine whether teamwork attitudes of healthcare professionals differ according to socio-demographic variables. The research is carried out by using the questionnaire method with 321 healthcare professionals in Kırıkkale University Medical Faculty Hospital. The data is analysed by SPSS program. According to the results obtained from the study, it is determined that the highest average among the teamwork sub-dimensions is in the leadership sub-dimension (4.25±0.62) and the lowest average is in the mutual support sub-dimension (3.38±0.65). In the study, it is found that the scores of the participants from the mutual support subdimension reveal statistically significant differences according to their age, gender, educational background, job title and working time in the unit. In addition, it is also found that the scores obtained from the team structure subdimension of the participants differ according to their job title, and the scores obtained from the corporate communication sub-dimension reveal statistically significant differences according to their age. As a result of the research, it is determined to what extent the basic components (team structure, leadership, status monitoring, mutual support and corporate communication) that make up teamwork in health organizations affect the socio-demographic characteristics of healthcare professionals. Due to the individual, institutional and patient benefits it provides, it can be recommended that healthcare managers create an organizational culture that supports teamwork and raise awareness of the importance of teamwork among professionals.
