Together with the globalization, the importance of supply and demand balance, which is the most fundamental ground of the economy, and the increase of individual needs in parallel with the developments in communication technologies, the importance of effective and efficient use of existing resources has increased and the sports sector is one of the sectors whose importance have increased. As one of the leading sectors of economies in many countries with its continuously growing and growing economic volume; sports economy which is developed on the basis of sports organizations is one of most popular disciplines of our time with sports organizations, sports organizations, sports products / services, sports media and sports technology. At the micro and macro level for sports economy; policies, plans, and strategies are developed, and in this context, the emergence of new business opportunities for the sports sector, the implementation of new sports-based programs and projects in educational processes, and the strengthening of economic, cultural and social interaction-communication among individuals occur. The aim of the study is to set a framework for the sports economic policies applied in Turkey from 2001 to present, by assessing the Turkish sports economy in the context of development plans, budget allocated to sports and strategic objectives of sports. The basic result obtained after the assessment of policies applied, legal framework, budget, development plans, applications and their results is that the global level, for attaining global sportive success in Turkey depends on giving more value to the sports economy and the efficient application of strategic objectives for the sports.
