The present study examines the nudge strategies implemented to promote rational drug use, with a particular focus on the effects of public service announcements as a nudge strategy. The study employed the video-based interview method, conducting in-depth interviews with 21 participants. Using this method, the participants were shown a public service announcement related to rational drug use and asked questions about the announcement. To determine whether the participants were influenced by the public service announcement, they were met again after a two-month period to determine whether they had used antibiotics during this time and what they had paid attention to. The study concluded that public service announcements were useful in terms of raising awareness but were not sufficient. The participants stated that public service announcements should be more attention-grabbing, longer, and more comprehensive, and it was determined that different Nudge strategies should also be implemented. Furthermore, it was concluded that especially older adults did not pay attention to rational drug use and that announcements targeting older adults needed to be expanded.
