COVİD-19’UN İŞGÜCÜ PİYASASINA ETKİLERİ: BİR ARDL SINIR TESTİ YAKLAŞIMI

Öz

Bu çalışmada günlük koronavirüs vaka sayısıyla kısa çalışma ödeneği arasında kısa ve uzun dönemli denge ilişkilerinin varlığı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. 16 Mart 2020 ile 16 Nisan 2020 arasında kısa çalışma ödeneğine birinci başvuru döneminde ve 02 Aralık 2020 ile 31 Ocak 2021 arasındaki ikinci başvuru döneminde alınan günlük veriler üzerinden ARDL Sınır Testi Eviews 10 programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. ARDL Sınır Testi sonuçlarına göre, her iki dönemdeki başvurularda günlük vaka sayısı ile kısa çalışma ödeneği arasında uzun dönemde anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir. Ancak kısa dönemli hata düzeltme modelinin sonuçlarına göre günlük vaka sayısı ile kısa çalışma ödeneği başvuruları arasında anlamlı ve pozitif yönlü bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Kısa çalışma ödeneği ve Covid-19 günlük vaka sayısının aynı çalışmada incelendiği başka bir çalışmanın olmaması, bu çalışmayı özgün kılmakta dolayısıyla bu çalışmanın yazındaki boşluğu dolduracağı düşünülmektedir.

EFFECTS OF COVID-19 ON LABOR MARKET: AN ARDL BOUNDS TESTING APPROACH

Öz

In this study, it was tried to determine the existence of short and long-term balance relations between the number of daily coronavirus cases and the short-time compensation. The ARDL Bounds Testing was conducted using the Eviews 10 program, based on the daily data received in the first application period between March 16, 2020 and April 16, 2020, and in the second application period between December 02, 2020 and January 31, 202. According to the ARDL Bounds Testing results, no significant long-term relationship was found between the number of daily cases and short-time compensation in applications in both periods. However, according to the results of the short-term error correction model, a significant and positive relationship was found between the number of daily cases and applications for short-time compensation. The absence of any other study in which short- and long-term balance relationships were determined by using the daily number of applications for the short-time compensation and the daily number of Covid-19 cases makes this study unique
