Sosyal Medya Kullanımı ve Yaratıcılık: Sanatçı Odağında Bir Perspektif

Öz

Günümüzde sosyal medya yapıtın-sanatçının tanıtımı, sanatçının takipçileriyle ve dünyayla etkileşimi gibi konularda büyük rol oynamaktadır. Sanatçı sosyal medyayı yapıtın ve aynı zamanda kendisinin tanıtımını yapabildiği dijital bir portföy olarak kullanma, takipçiyle anlık etkileşime girme ve alanında yapılan çalışmaları kolaylıkla takip etme gibi açılardan çeşitli olanaklara sahiptir. Ancak sanatçının sosyal medyayla arasında geliştirdiği etkileşimin sanatsal yaratıcılığına olan etkileri bağlamında bazı sorular yanıt beklemektedir. Bu odak noktadan hareketle araştırma kapsamında sosyal medya kullanımının sanatsal yaratıcılığa olan etkileri, üretim sürecinde sosyal medyanın işlevleri, sanatçının ağ aracılığıyla kolaylıkla ulaşılabilir olmasının sonuçları, yapıta yönelik geri bildirimlerin üretim sürecine olan etkileri gibi hususlara ilişkin sanatçıların görüşlerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma en temelde sanatçı perspektifinden sosyal medya kullanımının sanatsal yaratıcılığa olan etkilerini ortaya koymaya odaklanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda sanatın çeşitli alanlarından sosyal medyayı aktif olarak kullanan sekiz sanatçı ile derinlemesine görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda sanatçılar sosyal medya kullanımının sanatsal yaratıcılığa yönelik hem olumlu hem de olumsuz taraflarına dikkat çekmişler, temel meselenin daha çok sanatçının kendi iradesiyle ilgili olduğunu, sosyal medya ile geliştirilen ilişkinin dengeli bir biçimde olmasının gerekliliğini vurgulamışlardır.

The Use of Social Media and Creativity: A Perspective Focusing on the Artist

Öz

Nowadays, social media plays a major role on several points such as the promotion of the work of art and artists, the interaction of artists with their followers and the world. Artists can also find various opportunities in terms of using social media as a digital portfolio to promote their works as well as themselves, interact with the followers instantly and follow the works shared in their field easily. However, some questions still await answers in the context of the effects of the interaction between artists and social media on their artistic creativity. Based on this, the current study aims at revealing the views of artists on issues such as the impacts of the use of social media on artistic creativity, the functions of social media in the production process, the results of artists being easily accessible through the network and the effects of feedback on the work in the production process. Hence, this study mainly focuses on revealing the impacts of the use of social media on artistic creativity from the perspective of artists. In this context, in-depth interviews have been conducted with eight artists who actively use social media in several fields of art. As a result of the interviews, the artists have attracted attention to both the positive and the negative aspects of the use of social media towards artistic creativity. Furthermore, they have emphasized that the main problem is about the artist’s own will and that the relationship with social media must be kept in a balanced way.
