Öz

Bu çalışmada, faya olan güvenli uzaklığın sismik yöntemle hesaplanması için bir yöntem önerilmektedir. Yöntem, arazi ölçümlerine bağlı, herhangi bir yapay (bina) ve doğal (jeolojik) unsura bağlı olmayan nicel değerlendirmelere dayanmaktadır. Yöntemin esası, faya yakın çevredeki soğurganlığın ölçülmesidir. Kaynak ve en az iki alıcının aynı profil üzerinde bulunduğu bir arazi düzeninde, iki alıcı arasındaki ortamın soğurganlığı, bu istasyonlarda kaydedilen sismik dalgacıkların (yüzey dalgalarının) spektral oranlarının doğal logaritmasından hesaplanır. Bu ilişki doğrusal olduğundan, soğurganlık basit bir şekilde ilgili doğru parçasının eğiminden hesaplanır. Başka bir deyişle, sismik kalite faktörü (Q) ve sismik dalga hızına (v) bağlı A eğim parametresi, fay üzerinde yapılan bir veya birden fazla sismik ölçümle belirlenir; fay üzerinde ve fay doğrultusuna dik x uzaklığında ölçülen titreşim genliklerinin spektral oranına bağlı olarak r genlik azalması elde edilir. Böylece, istenilen deprem etken frekansı f ve genlik azalma oranı r için gereken faya olan güvenli uzaklık sınırı x bulunabilir. Bu çalışmada, ölçümler fay boyunca ve fayın her iki bloğunda yapılmıştır. 1 Hz etken frekansa sahip bir deprem için, titreşim genliği oranının 0.1 olması istendiğinde, fayın güney bloğundaki güvenli uzaklık 56 m, kuzey bloğundaki güvenli uzaklık ise 73 m bulunmuştur
