Mirror syndrome: Case report

Abstract

Mirror syndrome is characterized by fetal hydrops, placental and maternal edema. It is a serious disease, which causes preeclampsia like symptoms andfindings. Any immunologic and non-immunologic factor causing fetal hydrops is responsible in the etiology. In this case report a mirror syndrome ispresented and the importance of the syndrome regarding maternal andfetal point of view is discussed.

Öz

Mirror sendromu fetal hidrops, plasental büyüme ve maternal ödemle karakterize, preeklampsiye benzer semptom ve bulgulara yol açan ciddi bir hastalıktır. Etiyolojide masif fetal hidropsa yol açan her türlü immünolojik ve nonimmünolojik faktör rol oynamaktadır. Bu yazıda bir mirror sendromu olgusu sunulmakta ve bu sendromun fetal ve maternal açıdan önemi tartışılmaktadır.
