Rare anomaly of left renal vein: Reports of two cases

Abstract

Introduction: Retroperitoneal vascular structure anomalies are not uncommon, with an incidence of 13 to 30 per 100 people. Renal vascular anomalies are responsible for more than half of the cases.

Case: We report a circumaortic left renal vein during the staging surgery of a 39 years-old woman with ovarian tumor and a retroaortic left renal vein during the surgery of 43 years-old woman with ovarian tumor. There was no vascular injury associated with these anomalies.

Conclusion: While dealing with retroperitoneum, it is important to be aware of possible anomalies of vascular and renal structures for the surgeons because these anomalies can easily mislead the surgeon and there can be serious injury associated with these vessels.

Sol renal venin nadir görülen anomalisi: İki vakanın sunumu

Öz

Giriş: Retroperitoneal vasküler yapıların anomalileri nadir değildir. Her 100 insanda 13 ile 30 arasında değişmektedir. Bunların yarıdan fazlasını renal dammar anomalileri oluşturur.

Olgu: Biz burada ilk vakada 39 yaşında overyan tümor nedeniyle evreleme cerrahisi geçiren 39 yaşındaki bir hastada sol sirkümaortik renal veni ve ikinci hastada ise yine overyan tumor nedeniyle cerrahi yapılan 43 yaşındaki bir hastada sol retroaortik renal veni sunduk. Bu anomalilerden dolayı hastalarda damar hasarı oluşmadı.

Sonuç: Retroperitonda çalışırken buradaki vasküler ve renal yapılardaki olası anomalilerin farkında olmalıyız, çünkü bu anomaliler kolaylıkla cerrahı yanlış yönlendirebilir ve bu yapılarda ciddi hasarlar meydana gelebilir.
