Bio

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry- specialized in Polymer Chemistry.
 Former Researcher of ROMANİAN ACADEMY at “Petru Poni” İnstitute of Macromolecular Chemistry, İasi, Romania. Gained over 15 years’ experience working with macromolecules, polymers, multi-component polymeric materials, nanocomposites, nanodispersions for various fields e.g. food packaging, pharmaceutical formulations, textiles and leather industry, coating binders, flame-retardant and wax formulations, dye stuffs, pigments.
 Researcher specialized in chemical synthesis of polymers, especially reversible addition−fragmentation chain-transfer and emulsion polymerization techniques to obtain materials with targeted properties.
The research activity performed culminated in:
• 32 publications in international scientific journals, 10 book chapters and co-edited 1 book
• 2 patents
• 6 research projects (2 as main project manager)
• results disseminated at over 30 international or national symposium or congresses
• Awarded with gold medal by Innovation and Inventions Association of Romania (ANCS)
• Awarded with mobility grants UNESCO/IUPAC, Leonardo da Vinci, COST STSM, Romanian Authority of Science and Technology fellowship
• Awarded with EC-FP7 Marie Curie Actions-People-COFUND project of TUBITAK

 Co-founder of ACADEMICHEM Kimya ARGE San. LTD.Tic. Sti., company founded in 2019 with the support of TUBİTAK under Entrepreneurship Multi-phase Programme-1512.
 Experience in Turkey started in 2014 as Invited lecturer/researcher at Ege University Faculty of Pharmacy; for one year - lectures for MSc and PhD s about polymers used in pharmaceutical research.
Principal Investigator of EC-FP7 Marie Curie Actions-People-COFUND by TUBITAK- program called CO-FUNDED Brain Circulation Scheme, with topic on Pharmaceutical formulations based on biopolymers (chitosan, alginate, hyaluronic acid, polyvinyl alcohol were synthesized by designing and performing controlled polymerization techniques (RAFT and click chemistry), preparation and characterization of end-formulation for topical application).

 Guest Editor for Coatings for the special issue: "Biocompatible Polymer-Based Materials: Synthesis, Properties and Applications"
