Bio
Gorkem Memisoglu is an Assistant Professor at Istiklal University, and a Marie S. Curie Fellow Scientist. Dr. Memisoglu is a writer/co-writer of 16 articles, 2 book chapters, 20 projects and an inventor/co-inventor of more than 100 Patents. Previously, she worked as a post-doc in a TUBITAK project, and as a PI-co-founder of a start-up (QABACUS Ltd.) that received support from TUBITAK. She worked as the Post-Doctoral Researcher at Communication Engineering Dept. of UPV-EHU, Bilbao-Spain and at AIPT Photonic Institute of Aston University, Birmingham-UK. Her Ph.D was from Ege University, Turkey in 2015, 6-months of her Ph.D. was completed at Universitat Jaume I (UJI), Valencia – Spain. She worked in Vestel Electronics Inc. as an R&D Researcher and Project Manager for 6 years between 2012 March and 2018 April. She has awards/grants, e.g., successful student support (Turkish Hard-Coal Company), European Science Foundation (ESF) Research Grant for 6-months in Europe University, SCI paper-publishing grants from TUBITAK, 2015 Finalist Prize of the USA Bell Labs Project Competition, EU’s H2020 Marie Curie Multiply Post-Doctoral Research Grant for 2-years, TUBITAK post-doctoral research and entrepreneurship supports.
