Article Review Method of Referees

The articles sent to the journal are scientifically reviewed by the Board of Referees, with double-blind method.

Pre-Assessment Review Process

Articles that sent to the journal for publication is reviewed  in terms of purpose, scope, method and writing rules by editors.

If journal editors find a problem that needs to be corrected in the publications, the publication is sent back to the author to review again via system and the author is informed.

Publications that pass the editorial review are sent to two different referees from different universities for scientific evaluation and review.

Referee Invitation

Referees are given 5 days to accept the invitation of refereeing that sent over the system and are given 15 days for a full review and evaluation of the study.

If the referee reports and informs that he/she cannot review the study for various reasons, he/she should reject the "referee invitation" over the system by reporting to the journal editor at the referee invitation stage.

The reviewing and evaluating the publication by the referee is started after sharing the full text of the publication and the "article review form" with the referee.

If the referee cannot complete the review of study within the specified time; 7 additional days are given or he/she informs the chief editor of the journal that he/she cannot review the study. In this case, the chief editor sends an invitation to another referee to assign a new referee as soon as possible. 

Referee Review Method

Referees are expected to evaluate and review only a study-based  in line with the principles of publication.

Referees make their reviews on the article evaluation form which is sent by the chief editor.

The referee should not answer the evaluation criteria as not only yes or no, but also is expected to elaborate his/her negative opinions and state his reasons.

Especially, the referee, who gives negative opinions on, should add and explain the weaknesses of the author's study and the reasons for rejection.

If the referees are required to give their opinions on the article, the comments are uploaded to the system as a separate Word file.

Review Process of Referees

After the review, in case of the both 2 referees state "appropriate to publish", the article is published in the journal as soon as possible.

If both referees state as "not appropriate to publish", the article is not published in the journal. In this case, the author is informed.

If one of the referees requests correction, the study is sent back to the author and is asked to make the necessary correntions.

The amended study is sent back to the referees via chief editor and the study is processed as the referres decision.

If one of the referees gives a positive opinion and the other gives a negative opinion after the review process, the article is sent to a third referee. The study is published in line with the final report of the third referee.
