Organizational
commitment and leadership issues based on roots in private institutions have
gained importance in public service organizations as well as new public
administration and management concepts. At the head of these are concepts of
organizational commitment and leadership perception. In this research, it is
aimed to investigate the relationship between gendarmerie personnel’s
organizational commitment and leadership perception levels. In this survey, a
survey was conducted on n = 386 gendarmerie personnel in charge of Tunceli
Gendarmerie Command between January and May 2018. According to the findings of
the research, dimensions of organizational commitment and leadership perception
scores did not show a statistically significant difference according to the
demographic characteristics of the participants (p> 0.05). When the results
of correlation analysis were examined, there was no statistically significant
relationship between leadership and organizational commitment (p> 0.05).
