Orhan Kemal is an artist who tells the Turkish Literature story of the individual who does not have enough knowledge and vision in the face of life with a realistic perspective. The story of "Bir Çocuk" is found in the book Önce Ekmek published in 1968. Önce Ekmek, which received the Sait Faik Hikâye Ödülü and the Türk Dil Kurumu Ödülü in 1969, includes seventeen stories. Orhan Kemal, the immortal name of Turkish literature with his works independent of time and space, equips the narrative with leitmotives and powerful descriptions.
