Afyon Kocatepe University Journal of Social Sciences is a national, peer-reviewed journal that aims to contribute to the body of knowledge in the social sciences by publishing studies of national and international scientific merit in the field of social sciences, and is indexed by scientifically qualified national and international abstract and index systems.

Afyon Kocatepe University Journal of Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal that primarily publishes scholarly articles in the fields of philosophy, psychology, sociology, language and literature, history, and geography; it also includes social science studies in the fields of anthropology, social work, political science and international relations, public relations, communication.
Afyon Kocatepe University Journal of Social Sciences has been published as a "Peer-Reviewed Journal" since 1999. Published four times a year (March, June, September, December), the journal may also publish special issues upon the decision of the editorial board.
