Karbon Fiber Takviyeli Hava Süspansiyonu Kompozit Levhalarının Statik Yük Altında Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, iki farklı malzemeden üretilen hava körüğü üst plakalarının kapsamlı bir yapısal değerlendirmesini sunmaktadır: yapısal çelik ve %30 karbon fiber takviyeli poliamid 66 (%30 CF/PA66) kompozit. Her bir konfigürasyonun aynı statik yükleme ve sınır koşulları altındaki performansını değerlendirmek için ANSYS Workbench kullanılarak sonlu elemanlar analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma, gerilim dağılımı, deformasyon ve güvenlik faktörü profilleri gibi kritik yapısal parametrelere odaklanmıştır. Yapısal çelik modelinde 4,778 × 10⁸ Pa'lık bir tepe von-Mises gerilimi kaydedilirken, kompozit modelde 4,697 × 10⁸ Pa'lık biraz daha düşük bir değer görülmüştür. Karşılaştırılabilir gerilim seviyelerine rağmen, deformasyon analizi mekanik sertlikte dikkate değer bir fark ortaya koymuştur. Kompozit plakada gözlemlenen maksimum yer değiştirme 5,322 × 10⁻⁴ m olmuştur; bu değer, çelik muadilinde ölçülen 4,268 × 10⁻⁵ m'lik yer değiştirmeden önemli ölçüde daha yüksektir. Bu farklılık, daha deforme edilebilir olmasına rağmen kabul edilebilir yapısal sınırlar içinde kalan polimer bazlı kompozitin nispeten daha düşük sertliğini vurgulamaktadır. Güvenlik faktörü haritalaması, çelik levhanın minimum 0,962 faktör sağladığını, kompozitin ise lokal bölgelerde minimum 0,426 faktöre ulaştığını göstermiştir. Her iki malzeme de uygulanan yükler altında yapısal bütünlüğünü korumuş olsa da, kompozit versiyon kritik gerilim bölgelerini azaltmak için lokal tasarım iyileştirmelerinden faydalanabilir. Bu çalışmada tespit edilen önemli bir avantaj, CF/PA66 kullanımıyla elde edilen önemli ağırlık azaltımıdır. Hacimsel hesaplamalara ve tipik malzeme yoğunluklarına dayanarak, kompozit konfigürasyonu çelik alternatifine kıyasla tahmini %82,8'lik bir kütle azaltımı sağlamıştır. Bu ağırlık tasarrufu, otomotiv ve havacılık yapıları gibi kütle verimliliğinin çok önemli olduğu uygulamalarda özellikle faydalıdır. Genel bulgular, yük taşıma kapasitesinin azaltılmış ağırlığın faydalarıyla dengelenmesi gereken yapısal uygulamalarda %30 CF/PA66 kompozitlerinin potansiyelini desteklemektedir. Malzeme yeterli mekanik performans ve stabilite göstererek, onu gelecekteki hafif mühendislik çözümleri için güçlü bir aday haline getirdi.

Analysis Of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Air Suspension Composite Plates Under Static Load

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive structural evaluation of air spring top plates produced from two distinct materials: structural steel and a 30% carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide 66 (30% CF/PA66) composite. Finite element analysis was carried out using ANSYS Workbench to assess the performance of each configuration under identical static loading and boundary conditions. The investigation focused on critical structural parameters such as stress distribution, deformation, and safety factor profiles. The structural steel model recorded a peak von-Mises stress of 4.778 × 10⁸ Pa, while the composite model displayed a slightly lower value of 4.697 × 10⁸ Pa. Despite comparable stress levels, deformation analysis revealed a notable difference in mechanical stiffness. The maximum displacement observed in the composite plate was 5.322 × 10⁻⁴ m—substantially higher than the 4.268 × 10⁻⁵ m displacement measured in the steel counterpart. This disparity highlights the relatively lower stiffness of the polymer-based composite, which, although more deformable, still remained within acceptable structural limits. Safety factor mapping further demonstrated that the steel plate offered a minimum factor of 0.962, whereas the composite reached a minimum of 0.426 in localized regions. Although both materials maintained structural integrity under the applied loads, the composite version may benefit from local design enhancements to mitigate critical stress zones. A significant advantage identified in this study was the considerable weight reduction achieved with the use of CF/PA66. Based on volumetric calculations and typical material densities, the composite configuration resulted in an estimated 82.8% reduction in mass compared to the steel alternative. This weight saving is particularly beneficial in applications where mass efficiency is paramount, such as in automotive and aerospace structures. The overall findings support the potential of 30% CF/PA66 composites in structural applications where load-bearing capacity must be balanced against the benefits of reduced weight. The material demonstrated sufficient mechanical performance and stability, making it a strong candidate for future lightweight engineering solutions.
