Peer-review process of Amasya Theology Journal 

Biannualy (30 June & 30 December)

Amasya Theology Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal published twice a year.

Amasya Theology Journal publishes academic articles that produced in the area of Religious Studies.

Basic Islamic Sciences: Tafsir, Kalam, Hadith, Islamic Law, History of Islamic Sects, Sufism, Arabic Language and Literature.

Philosophy and Religious Sciences: Philosophy of Islam, Philosophy of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Religious Education, History of Religions, Logic.

Islamic History and Arts: History of Islam, History of Islamic Arts, Turkish Islamic Literature, Religious Music. 

Submissions to Amasya Theology Journal should be original articles evaluating previous studies in the field and should produce new and worthwhile ideas and perspectives.

Amasya Theology Journal uses double-blind review fulfilled by at least two reviewers. Referee names are kept strictly confidential. (Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers.)

Articles submitted to Amasya Theology Journal are first reviewed by the Editorial Board in terms of the journal's publishing principles.  

Submissions found suitable are referred to two referees working in relevant fields. The names of the referees are kept confidential. If one of the referee reports is positive and the other is negative, the article may be forwarded to a third referee for further assessment or alternatively, the Editorial Board may make a final decision based on the nature of the three reports. The authors are responsible for revising their articles in line with the criticism and suggestions made by the referees and the Editorial Board. 

All articles are checked by means of a program in order to confirm they are not published before and avoid plagiarism. 

The publication process of the accepted work lasts 2-4 months from the date of receipt.

Amasya Theology Journal does not charge any article submission, processing charges, and printing charge from the authors.

Authors who submit an article to Amasya Theology Journal are deemed to have declared that they have not committed an ethical violation. The authors of the plagiarism through the iThenticate program are not included in our journals. The report is sent to the author.
