1. Academic works written in Turkish and English are accepted for Art7. Each issue may also include translation works determined or selected by the editors or the editorial board. Submitted works must be written with 2.5 cm margins on the top, bottom, right and left sides. The file type to be uploaded must be in ‘.docx’ format.
2. Additionally, the journal may include 1,500–3,500 word work critiques, book reviews, or evaluations of meetings/galleries/exhibitions/festivals, interviews, and similar articles. Articles, including references, should be between 3,500 and 8,500 words. Explanatory notes should be numbered within the text and placed as footnotes at the bottom of the relevant page.
3. Except for letters to the editor, book reviews, and interviews, articles written in Turkish must have an English extended abstract of at least 600 words and no more than 750 words.
4. The Turkish and English titles of the article should be written in bold, 14-point font, centred and in capital letters. Both titles must be included. The author(s)' names should be written below the title of the article, centred, in 12-point font and in bold. Below the author names section, author information (address and ORCID number) should be written in 10-point font and left-aligned. If there is more than one author, a 6nk space should be left between the author information lines. When writing the author names, the corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk (*) and the email address should be provided below the author information, left-aligned, as ‘Corresponding Author: …….@........’.
5. First-level headings (Introduction, Abstract, Materials, etc.) should be bold, left-aligned, in 12-point font, and written in capital letters. Second-level headings should be left-aligned, with the first letter of each word capitalised, bold, and in 11-point font. Third-level headings should be left-aligned, with the first letter of the first word capitalised, in bold, and in 11-point font. Please ensure that there are no headings below the third level.
6. If the heading does not fit on a single line, a 6nk space should be left between lines. A 12nk space should be left between the author names and the heading and author information section. The same amount of space should also be left when moving on to the abstract section after the author information.
7. The font should be Times New Roman, size 11. The line spacing of the text should be ‘1.15’, the spacing after each paragraph should be ‘6 nk’, and the spacing after each section should be ‘6 nk’. There should be a 0.5 cm space at the beginning of each paragraph (except for the Summary and Abstract sections). All paragraphs and headings should start at the left margin. The text should be fully justified. Emphasis should not be added to the text using bold or underlined fonts, if possible.
The line spacing used should be 1.15 (with 6 nk before and after), except for direct block quotations, visual aids accompanying the text, and footnotes. Direct block quotations, visual aids supporting the text, and footnotes should use 9-point font and 1 line spacing (0 pt before and after).
8. Tables included in the text should be centred on the page, and a font size between 10 and 12 points should be selected. Tables should be placed in the relevant section of the text, and reference to the table must be made within the text (Table 1). Tables should be named ‘Table’, numbered in sequence, and the title providing information about the table should be centred at the top of the table in 10 pt font.
9. Any pictures, figures, drawings, and similar items included in the text should be named ‘figure’ and placed in the centre of the page. The figure caption should be placed below the figure, centred, in 10 pt font. The figure should be used in the relevant section of the text and must be referenced in the text.
10. Each page of the article should be numbered, with the page numbers appearing at the bottom centre of the page. Citations should be made according to the American Psychological Association 7th edition, indicated within the text and listed in the ‘References’ section at the end of the article.
11. If the articles are derived from a thesis, project, or presented as a paper, this must be stated on the first page of the article.
12. In multi-authored works, authors must submit a statement of contribution ratio and a conflict of interest statement during the article submission process. In works derived from postgraduate theses, the author with the highest contribution ratio must be the student.
13. If the study has received support from any institution, organisation, or fund during the article submission stage, this support must be stated. Furthermore, if there are any individuals, institutions, or organisations to be thanked, the relevant information must be clearly stated in the article file.
14. If artificial intelligence-based tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, etc.) have been used in the article production process, the stages in which they were used must be clearly stated. This information must be provided during the article submission process. All responsibility regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence lies with the authors.
15. In our journal, it is mandatory to obtain approval from the relevant committee for all scientific studies requiring ethical committee approval. In line with the 2020 regulations of ULAKBİM TR Index, studies without ethical committee approval will not be considered for evaluation. Ethical committee information (committee name, date, decision number) must be clearly stated in the article text. All qualitative and quantitative research involving data collection from participants through methods such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, and discussions, as well as retrospective studies conducted under the Personal Data Protection Law, require ethical committee approval. Obtaining this approval and stating it in the article is mandatory.
16. Authors submitting their work to Art7 for evaluation must comply with certain bibliographic rules, which they will also receive in the format prepared by our editors. In works published in Art7, in-text references, quotations, and bibliography citations must be made in accordance with the following format, adapted from APA rules to Turkish as decided by the Editorial Board, as shown in the examples.
