ARÜ Journal of Theological Studies aims to contribute to the field of theological research by publishing research and translation articles, travel/research notes, book edition critiques, conference or symposium proceedings and evaluations, thesis evaluations, and other works, while adhering to an open access policy.

The journal publishes all types of scholarly work related to the field of theological studies.
ARÜ Journal of Theological Studies is an open-access, international academic journal published electronically twice a year (June and December) by the Faculty of Theology at Ardahan University.
The journal accepts submissions year-round.
Only one work per author will be considered for each issue.
Articles submitted to the journal should be between 5,000 and 10,000 words. This limit may be extended depending on the nature of the article.
Turkish and English abstracts should be between 250-350 words.
Abstracts should include at least 3 and at most 5 keywords, with the first keyword being the name of the main discipline.
Submissions that pass the initial screening are scanned with plagiarism detection software. Plagiarized works will not be published.
Additionally, works with a similarity rate exceeding 20% will not be published.
Submissions undergo double-blind peer review. Works that are not accepted by at least two reviewers will not be published.
Translated articles are subject to the same review process as other articles before publication.
All published articles are assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) as a permanent article identifier.

Submissions must be in Word format.
The font should be Times New Roman 12pt.
Paper size should be A4, portrait orientation.
The main title should be in title case, bold, and 14pt.
Page margins should be: top: 3 cm, bottom: 3 cm, left: 3 cm, right: 3 cm.
Quoted text should be 10pt.
Leave one line space after the author(s)' name(s). Then include the Turkish and English abstracts.
Footnotes should be in Times New Roman 10pt.
Paragraph alignment should be justified. Left and right indents should be 0 cm. First line indent should be 1.25 cm. Spacing should be 6pt before and after. Line spacing should be 1.5.
The author(s)' name(s) should be right-aligned immediately below the title. The author(s)' title(s), affiliation(s), email address(es), and ORCID number(s) should be included in a footnote.
The ISNAD Citation System (2nd Edition) must be used for footnotes and bibliography. Submissions not prepared in accordance with the ISNAD Citation System 2nd Edition Footnote System will be rejected outright and will not be processed again in the same publication period.
Articles will be reviewed once for compliance with the ARÜ Journal of Theological Studies Article Writing Template; if the requested changes are not made, the article will be rejected and will not be processed again in the same publication period.

ARÜ Journal of Theological Studies adheres to national and international standards regarding research and publication ethics.
The journal complies with the Press Law, the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works, and the Higher Education Institutions Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive. It also adopts the International Ethical Publishing Principles published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).

Authors:
Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original and has not been previously published or is currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Authors must accurately present their research findings and provide appropriate citations for all sources used.
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Authors must be willing to participate in the peer review process and respond to reviewers' comments and suggestions in a timely and professional manner.
Reviewers:
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and confidentially.
Reviewers must provide constructive criticism and avoid personal attacks.
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Reviewers must be willing to recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts if they feel they cannot provide an unbiased review.
Editors:
Editors are responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the journal's content.
Editors must make fair and unbiased decisions about which manuscripts to accept or reject for publication.
Editors must ensure that the peer review process is fair and transparent.
Editors must be willing to investigate allegations of misconduct.
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and shape the scientific methods. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, and the publisher.
