Akışkan Modern Dünyada Mobiletinin Anti-Demokratik Mahiyeti: Turist ve Göçmen Tipleri Üzerinden Bir Değerlendirme

Öz

Akışkan modern dünyada hareketlilik en önemli olgulardan biri olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu dünya içerisinde küreselleşmenin savunucularının öne sürdüğü gibi kimi insanlar için sınırlar gittikçe engel olmaktan uzaklaşırken; aynı anda bazı insanların hareket kabiliyetleri gittikçe sınırlanmaktadır. Çalışma içerisinde bu tezatlık, yani mobiletinin anti – demokratik mahiyeti, Bauman merkeze alınarak turist ve göçmen tipiyle müşahhas hale getirilmeye çalışılacaktır. Turist için gezegenimiz artık onları hoş karşılamaya hevesli ev sahibi toplulukların ve tüketim imkanlarının mekânı iken; göçmenler bilhassa da zorlayıcı koşullar altında yer değiştirmek durumunda kalanlar için, sınırlar, dikenli teller ve konuksevmez yaklaşımlar hazır beklemektedir. Çalışma kapsamında, Baumancı düşünceyi merkeze alarak ulaştığımız temel sonuç ise, ahlaki ve pratik olarak turist mobilitesinin baskın olduğu bir yaşam pratiğinin sürdürülemez olduğu ve acil olarak misafirperverliğin turistlerden, zorlayıcı koşullarda yerlerinden olanlara kadar genişletilme ve çeşitlendirilmesi gerekliliğidir.

The Anti-democratic Nature of Mobility in the Liquid Modern World: An Evaluation on Tourist and Migrant Types

Öz

In the liquid modern world, mobility stands out as one of the most important equipment. In this world, as advocates of globalization suggest, borders are becoming less of an obstacle for some people; simultaneously, some people's mobility is becoming increasingly limited. In this study, this contradiction, that is, the anti-democratic nature of mobility, will be tried to be embodied with the tourist and migrant types, focusing on Bauman. For tourists, our planet is now a place of consumption opportunities and host communities are eager to welcome them. On the other hand, borders, barbed wires and inhospitable approaches stand ready for migrants. Within the scope of the study, the main conclusion we reached by focusing on Baumanian thought is that a life practice dominated by tourist mobility is morally and practically unsustainable and that hospitality must be urgently expanded and diversified from tourists to those displaced under challenging conditions.
