Abstract
The problem of not being appointed recently has become a serious problem for teacher candidates and increases the anxiety levels of teacher candidates. The aim of this study is to examine the anxiety levels of the guidance and psychological counseling teacher candidates waiting for appointment in terms of various variables. In this study, survey research model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The sample of the research consists of 152 teacher candidates, 77 of whom are female and 75 are male. The Assignment Anxiety Scale, whose validity and reliability studies were conducted, was used in the study. The variables of the participants in the study were reached through the personal information form. The data used in this research were prepared through Google Forms and applied to the participants with an online survey system. SPSS 25.00 package program was used for the analysis of the data obtained in the research and the data were analyzed. Different statistical procedures such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, One-Way Analysis of Variance were used in the analysis of the obtained data. As a result of the research findings, it was determined that the anxiety levels of the guidance and psychological counseling teacher candidates were above the medium level. In the light of the statistical procedures, it was found that there was no statistically significant difference between the anxiety levels of not being assigned guidance and psychological counseling teacher candidates in terms of gender and marital status variables, and there was no significant difference in the two sub-dimensions of the age variable. A statistically significant difference was reached in terms of economic gain and success at school variables, and a significant difference was found only in the fear of not being appointed sub-dimension in terms of age variable.
