There is no time limitation for submissions to Anatolia: Journal of Tourism Research. Authors are welcome to submit their papers at any time during the year.

Anatolia: Journal of Tourism Research began its publication activities in January 1990 under the name Anatolia: Journal of Tourism and Environment. The journal publishes theoretical, conceptual, empirical, and applied studies in the field of tourism in Türkiye. The journal was published as an academic periodical between 1990 and 1997. Publication as a peer-reviewed journal began in 1997. The journal accepts academic papers on tourism and related subjects such as accommodation/hospitality, travel, and food and beverage management.

The publication language of Anatolia: Journal of Tourism Research is exclusively Turkish. Articles submitted in languages other than Turkish are not considered for publication. However, the titles, abstracts, and keywords of accepted articles are published in both Turkish and English. Other contributions, such as reviews, reports, and meeting abstracts, are published in Turkish, with their English titles, abstracts, and keywords also provided.

Each submitted paper undergoes a peer-review process conducted by a minimum of two academic referees in the relevant field. The Statistical Editor may also be involved when deemed necessary. Authors are expected to comply with the “Publishing and Writing Rules” before submitting their manuscripts to the journal. In addition to academic research papers, Anatolia also includes various sections, namely Research Notes on Recreation, Gastronomy, Tourism History, Tour Guiding and Selected Translation Articles, Conference Notes, and Tourism Research Projects, which are edited by academic experts in the relevant fields.
