Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine students’ opinions about the concept of war. A twenty-four item questionaries was prepared for the study. In this survey, averages of student responses about the concept of war was determined. However, the differences between genders and school types regarding the concept of war estimated. The research was completed in the department of Education Guidance and Counselling students Faculty of Education, students in the department of History, Faculty of Literature and sciences, Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, Faculty of Theology. With the results of the study related to χ2 singificant differences were observed in three items in terms of gender and singificant differences were observed in nine items regarding school types.

Savaş Kavramı Üzerine Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Görüşleri (Kafkas Üniversitesi Örneği) / University Sutudents’ Opinions on War

Abstract

Öz: Bu çalışmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinin savaş kavramına yönelik görüşlerini
tespit etmektir. Çalışmada kullanılmak üzere yirmi dört sorudan oluşan bir anket
hazırlanmıştır. Uygulamalardan sonra öğrencilerin cevaplarının madde ortalamaları
tespit edilmiştir. Bununla beraber savaş kavramına yönelik maddeler arasında cinsiyet
ve okul türü ile ilgili farklılık olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Çalışma Eğitim Fakültesinde
Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık Anabilim Dalı (RPD) öğrencileriyle, Fen Edebiyat
Fakültesinde Tarih Bölümü öğrencileriyle, İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi’nde İktisat
Bölümü öğrencileriyle İlahiyat Fakültesi’nde ise Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi öğrencileriyle
gerçekleşmiştir. Veriler üzerinde yapılmış olan χ2 (Ki-kare) analizleri incelendiğinde,
yirmi dört madde arasında, cinsiyet açısından grupların, üç maddede anlamlı
farklılık gösterdiği; okul türü bakımından ise dokuz maddede anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği
saptanmıştır.
