Marmara Üniversitesi İ.İ.B.F. İşletme Bölümü’nden 2003 yılında mezun olmuştur. Marmara Üniversitesi “Sayısal Yöntemler” yüksek lisansını 2006 yılında tamamlayan Doç.Dr.Samut, 2004-2006 yılları arasında Beykent Üniversitesi’nde Öğretim Görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. Akdeniz Üniversitesi’nde Sayısal Yöntemler alanında yaptığı doktorasını 2012 yılında tamamlayan Doç.Dr.Samut, bu esnada aynı üniversitenin Sayısal Yöntemler Anabilim Dalında Araştırma Görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. 2010 yılında doktora tez çalışmasını European Viadrina University (Almanya)’da sürdürmüştür. 2013 yılında Çankırı Karatekin Üniversitesi’nde Yrd.Doç.Dr. olarak 6 ay çalıştıktan sonra, Atılım Üniversitesinde Yrd.Doç.Dr. olarak göreve başlamıştır. 2017 yılında doçentlik sözlüsünde başarılı olarak Doçentlik ünvanını alan Doç.Dr.Samut, 2019 Eylül ayında Atılım Üniversitesi’nden ayrılarak Akdeniz Üniversitesi Ekonometri bölümünde doçent olarak görev yapmaya başlamıştır. Doç.Dr.Samut, şimdiye kadar İstatistik, Yöneylem Araştırması ve Ekonometri alanlarında lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora düzeyinde pek çok ders vermiş ve tez yazdırmıştır. İlgi alanları, performans değerlendirme, çok kriterli karar verme, fuzzy matematiği, belirsizlik ve olasılık, matematiksel programlamadır. 

I have a Ph.D. in Economics with six years of Econometrics background and extensive experience in the private banking sector and top financial institutions such as the Central Bank of Turkey, Istanbul Stock Exchange. Proficient in econometric techniques (e.g. panel data models, time series econometrics), analytical and computational modelling, and heterodox methodologies such as SFC modeling. My research interests include (macro)money, financial economics, monetary policy, shadow banking, repo markets, energy-environment economics, and green finance.

João Leitão is an economist and associate professor (with habilitation/ Agregação) of economics at the UBI – University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal and a researcher at the NECE – Research Centre for Business Sciences. He is an external researcher at the CEGIST – Centre for Management Studies of the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), and associate researcher of the ICS – Instituto de Ciências Sociais, University of Lisbon. He is a visiting professor at the Università degli Studi di Bergamo, Italy. He was a visiting scholar at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität, Jena, Germany. He was an external research fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Economics, Jena, Germany.

He is the President of the APDR - Associação Portuguesa para o Desenvolvimento Regional. He is a member of the ERSAC and the RIS Policy Council, EIT Food. He was the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship director for the Policy area.

He is a member of the Council of the College of Economics and Business Management of the Portuguese Order of Economists (2025-2028).

He is the Director of the UBIExecutive Business School. He was the UBI's Head of University Management & Administration (2009-2012). He also served as the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (2000) administrator.

He coordinates the ESG – MBA (UBI) and the Acceleration Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (UBI). He coordinated the Master in Economics (UBI), the Master in Business Administration (UBI), the Executive Master on Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Bio-Sector (UBI, Universidad de Granada, and Università Politecnica delle Marche), the Master in Entrepreneurship and Management of SMEs (IPPortalegre), and the Master in Engineering and Industrial Management (IST, University of Lisbon).

He was a manager of the LIDL&Ca (1997). He is the CFO of a knowledge-based startup devoted to neuroscience and degenerative diseases. He joined the council of the ‘Observatório: Serviços, Competitividade Urbana e Coesão Territorial’, of the Confederação do Comércio e Serviços de Portugal. He is a member of the Strategic Council of the Ordem dos Economistas. He is an external expert evaluator of the European Commission (Horizon, H2020-MSCA-COFUND and COST), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the Ministero dell'Istruzione e del Merito, the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, the Asociación Colombiana para el Avance de la Ciencia, the Agência Nacional de Inovação, and the Tribunal Administrativo de Castelo Branco.

He participated in drafting the Local Development Strategy (LDS) for RUDE - Associação de Desenvolvimento Rural (2001), the National Sports Charter (2012), and the Serra da Estrela Revitalization Plan (2023-2024). Evaluated the Strategy of ADERES - Associação de Desenvolvimento Rural Estrela-Sul (2019). He coordinated the preparation of the Strategic Plan of Comurbeiras - Intermunicipal Community (2008-2009), the Strategic Plan of the Intermunicipal Community of Beiras and Serra da Estrela (2021-2022), and the Strategy of ADERES - Estrela-Sul Rural Development Association (2024).

Alpaslan, doktorasını 2008 yılında Göteborg Üniversitesi'nde tamamladi. Göteborg Üniversitesi'ndeki doktora çalışmasından önce, üç yıl boyunca İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde başka bir doktora pozisyonunda bulunmuştur. Alpaslan, lisans (Ekonomi) ve yüksek lisans (Matematiksel İstatistik) eğitimini İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde tamamlamıştır. Doktorası göçmen asimilasyonu ve uygulamalı mikroekonometri üzerinedir. Araştırma alanları çok çeşitlidir ve davranışsal ve deneysel ekonomi, mutluluk ekonomisi, göç ekonomisi ve uygulamalı mikroekonomi gibi çeşitli alanlarda yer almaktadır. Son yıllarda özellikle mutluluk araştırmaları ve statu endisesi üzerine yoğunlaşmıştır. Ayrıca pedagoji ile ilgilenmekte ve alternatif öğretim stilleri ve pedagojik stratejiler uygulamayı amaçlamaktadır. Ekonomi biliminin diğer disiplinlerindeki araştırmacılarla da aktif olarak işbirliği yapmaktadır.

Alpaslan, birçok çalıştay ve konferansta hem katılımcı hem de düzenleyici olarak yer almıştır. Birçok büyük ölçekli konferans düzenlemiş ve bilimsel komite üyesi olarak görev yapmıştır. Halen yüksek dereceli bilimsel dergilerde hakem ve editor olarak görev yapmaktadır.

Şaban Nazlıoğlu lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimini Erciyes Üniversitesi’nde tamamlamıştır. Makro İktisat alanlarında çalışan Nazlıoğlu akademik görevine Pamukkale Üniversitesi’nde devam etmektedir

Sanem Özer, Akdeniz Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi Uluslararası İlişkiler Bölümü'nde doçent olarak görev yapmaktadır. Bilkent Üniversitesi'ne tam burslu olarak girmiş ve 1999 yılında İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü'nden mezun olmuştur. İngiltere'de Exeter Üniversitesi'nde Avrupa Çalışmaları alanında yüksek lisans yaptı. Araştırmalarını Marmara Üniversitesi Avrupa Birliği Enstitüsü'nde sürdürdü ve AB Siyaseti ve Uluslararası İlişkiler alanında "A Common Foreign Policy towards the Caucasus? With Special Reference to Some EU Member States" başlıklı teziyle doktorasını tamamladı. Araştırma alanları göç, popülizm, barış çalışmaları, enerji politikaları ve Asya-Pasifik bölgesindeki geleneksel olmayan güvenlik konularıdır. Kendisi 2013 yılında Tayland, Bangkok'taki Chulalongkorn Üniversitesi'nde Mesleki Gelişim Sertifika Programı için Rotary Barış Bursu almıştır. Aynı zamanda bir ulusal kitabın editörü ve çok sayıda ulusal ve uluslararası kitap bölümü ve makalenin yazarıdır. Çatışma çözümü, göç ve enerji politikaları konularında dersler vermektedir.

Sanem Özer is associate professor of international relations at Akdeniz University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. She entered Bilkent University with a full scholarship and graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature in 1999. She earned her MA in European Studies at the University of Exeter, UK. She conducted her research at the European Union Institute, Marmara University, Istanbul, and received her PhD in EU Politics and International Relations with her thesis, "A Common Foreign Policy towards the Caucasus? With Special Reference to Some EU Member States." Her research interests are migration, populism, peace studies, energy politics, and non-traditional security issues in the Asia-Pacific region. She had a Rotary Peace Fellowship for Professional Development Certificate Programme at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, in 2013. She is also the editor of one national book, as well as the author of numerous national and international book chapters and articles. She gives lectures on conflict resolution, migration, and the politics of energy.
