A Study on Turkish Coffee Consumption Habits of X, Y, and Z Generations

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the Turkish coffee consumption habits of individuals belonging to the X, Y and Z generations and the effect of generational differences on the level of knowledge perceived by individuals about Turkish coffee. In the study, usable data were obtained from 730 people by using the convenience sampling method and the survey technique, one of the quantitative research methods. According to the findings, it has been determined that there are similarities and differences in the reasons for preferring or not preferring Turkish coffee among members of the X, Y and Z generations. In addition, it was determined that the generational difference did not cause a statistically significant difference on the level of knowledge perceived by individuals about Turkish coffee. On the other hand, it was determined that the frequency of consumption of Turkish coffee caused a statistically significant difference on the level of knowledge perceived by the participants about Turkish coffee.

X, Y ve Z Kuşaklarının Türk Kahvesi Tüketim Alışkanlıklarına Yönelik Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı X, Y ve Z kuşağı mensubu bireylerin Türk kahvesi tüketim alışkanlıklarını ve kuşak farklılığının bireylerin Türk kahvesiyle ilgili algıladıkları bilgi düzeyi üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden anket tekniği uygulanarak kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile 730 kişiden kullanılabilir veri elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre X, Y ve Z kuşağı mensubu bireylerin Türk kahvesini tercih etme ve etmeme nedenlerinde benzerlik ve farklılıklar olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca kuşak farklılığının bireylerin Türk kahvesiyle ilgili algıladıkları bilgi düzeyi üzerinde istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılığa neden olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Buna karşın Türk kahvesi tüketim sıklığının katılımcıların Türk kahvesiyle ilgili algıladıkları bilgi düzeyi üzerinde istatiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılığa neden olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
