RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AGEING AND BONE TURNOVER MARKERS IN PERIODONTAL DISEASE

Year 2013, Volume: 2 Issue: 3, 183 - 186, 31.12.2013

Abstract

Ageing effect could see every tissue and organ. In ageing biology many physiological, immunological, psychological and environmental factors have been shown to be effective. One of the most important factors of periodontal disease activity is alveolar bone loss. Biochemical evolutions of periodontal disease activity bone turnover markers are crucial. Limited studies in recent years are focus on inflammatory disease and bone turnover markers. In this review we summarized about bone turnover biomarkers between periodontal disease and ageing.

PERİODONTAL HASTALIKTA YAŞLILIK İLE KEMİK MARKIRLARININ İLİŞKİSİ

Year 2013, Volume: 2 Issue: 3, 183 - 186, 31.12.2013
