Bülent ÇETİN is a Professor in the Department of Food Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Atatürk University. He completed his undergraduate and graduate education at Atatürk University. His research focuses on the isolation, identification, and characterization of microorganisms with diverse properties, including probiotics, starter cultures, and pathogens. For this purpose, various groups of microorganisms such as bacteria, yeasts, molds, and bacteriophages have been studied. In addition, selected strains with desirable characteristics obtained from these isolates have been used for the production of starter cultures and probiotic products in model food systems, and their quality attributes during storage have been evaluated.

He graduated from Selçuk University, Department of Geodesy and Photogrammetry Engineering, in 2009. He completed his Master’s degree at Selçuk University in 2013 and received his PhD from Konya Technical University in 2018.

He was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geomatic Engineering at Konya Technical University in 2021 and has been serving as an Associate Professor at the same university since 2023. His areas of expertise include GNSS, Noise Analysis, Deformation Analysis, EDM Calibration, Programming, and Artificial Neural Networks.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nihal Şimşek Özek received her bachelor's degree from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Ankara University, in 2001. She completed her master's degree (2004–2007) and PhD (2007–2015) in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Middle East Technical University (METU). Her area of expertise is biophysics, and her work spans molecular biophysics, biological spectroscopy, and the life sciences.

Dr. Şimşek Özek worked as a research assistant at METU from 2004 to 2016. She has continued her academic career at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Atatürk University, since 2016, and at Atatürk University's East Anatolia High Technology Application and Research Center (DAYTAM) since 2017. She also served as Deputy Director of DAYTAM between 2019 and 2024.

Dr. Şimşek Özek has served as principal investigator and researcher on numerous national and international scientific projects. Her research draws on advanced biophysical techniques such as surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), FTIR spectroscopy, and cytotoxicity assays, with a particular focus on the effects of natural compounds on cancer cells and the identification of toxicological biomarkers.

She has contributed to more than 110 scientific publications in internationally indexed (SCI, SSCI) journals, along with numerous conference proceedings. Her H-index stands at 16 on both Scopus and Web of Science and 19 on Google Scholar. Her work has been cited 635 times on Web of Science, 722 times on Scopus, and 973 times on Google Scholar. Her ORCID ID is 0000-0002-7326-5670.

As part of her scientific publishing activities, she has served as an editorial board member of the Turkish Journal of Zoology. Since 2025, she has been serving as a field editor for the Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Journal of Science. She has also made significant contributions to the literature on the interdisciplinary applications of spectroscopic techniques in fields such as forensic science, toxicology, tissue engineering, and environmental biotechnology.

Doç. Dr. Sinan Temel, Bilecik Şeyh Edebali Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Fizik Bölümünde görev yapan bir akademisyendir. Lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimlerini Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Fizik Bölümünde tamamlamıştır. Doktora tezini "(MgO)x(ZnO)1-x ince filmlerinin üretimi ve karakterizasyonu" üzerine yapmıştır.

Akademik kariyerine 2011 yılında araştırma laboratuvarında uzman olarak başlayan Temel, 2015 yılında Dr. Öğr. Üyesi, 2021 yılında ise Doçent unvanını almıştır. Aynı zamanda üniversitesinde Senato Üyeliği, MYO Müdürlüğü ve Merkez Müdürlükleri gibi çeşitli idari görevlerde de bulunmuştur.

Çalışma alanları; fizik, malzeme bilimi, mikroelektronik, ince filmler, nanoyapılar, optik ve elektriksel özellikler, ve yoğun madde spektroskopisi gibi konuları kapsamaktadır.

Akademik kariyerinde birçok SCI kapsamındaki dergide yayınları, kitap bölümleri, tez danışmanlıkları ve desteklenen araştırma projeleri yer almaktadır. Ayrıca, 2007 yılında Balkan Physical Union tarafından düzenlenen bir fizik proje yarışmasında üçüncülük ödülü almıştır.

Over 17 years’ experience in RDI, having a PhD in Agronomy since 2013. The area of expertise includes the identification and quantification of physico-chemical compounds in bioresources, with applications in the fields of agriculture, energy, and environment.
Technical skills and competences:
-Using chemical analysis equipment/tools (UV / VIS, TLC) and physical chemistry (determination of unit refraction index, optical microscopes, viscometers, density meters, etc.) - the skills gained in the research projects in which I was involved;
- Using analytical methods for both inorganic analysis using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), MPA FT-NIR;
- The use of process equipment: installation of extraction–microwave-assisted extraction, pressurized fluid extraction, supercritical fluid extraction/distillation, fractionation/separation.
I have coordinated two transnational projects as a project partner from Romania (AlgaeBrew and HaloSYS), and I have been involved in more than 10 international and 20 national projects.
About the publications, I am a co-author for two books (national) and three electronic manuals (international), and more than 20 scientific articles.
Regarding awards, I have over 15 awards at the Invention and Innovation Salons, both as an author and as a co-author.

Dr. Emre Dandıl is the Associate Professor at Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, Department of Computer Engineering. He joined as a lecturer the Bilecik Seyh Edebali University in 2010, having previously taught at Ministry of Education for 3 years.

Dandıl's research and teaching focus on artificial intelligence, image processing, pattern recognition, biomedical, machine learning, computer-aided detection, medical informatics, data mining, and computer vision.

Dandıl studied Electronic and Computer Sciences as an undergraduate and earned an M.Sc. at Suleyman Demirel University. He is PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Sakarya.

Dr. Dandıl also visited the Center for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT), Institute of Electronics, Communication & Information Technology (ECIT) at Queen's University Belfast (UK) to research Postdoctoral study as a Visiting Researcher in 2016-2017. He has studied there in a project relating foetal movement detection on US scans.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burçin Atılgan Türkmen is an academic who is affiliated with Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. After graduating from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Department of Chemical Engineering in 2008, she completed both her master and doctoral studies at the University of Manchester in 2016.
During her doctoral studies, she delved into a critical area of research, focusing on the assessment of the sustainability of current and future electricity options for Türkiye. This research is particularly significant given the global concern for sustainable energy solutions and the pressing need for a greener and more sustainable approach.
Ms. Atılgan Türkmen actively teaches at the university and her areas of expertise are reflected in the courses she imparts at the university, which encompass Sustainable Development and Industry, Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Systems, Quality, Environment and Safety, Sustainable Production Systems, as well as Sustainability and Engineering.
Furthermore, Ms. Atılgan Türkmen's influence in academia extends beyond the classroom. She has made significant contributions to the academic literature with her book chapters, articles, and research papers. Her research output covers a wide array of crucial topics, including environmental sustainability, life cycle assessment, climate change, and the environmental sustainability of glass production. Dr. Gamzenur Özsin graduated from Anadolu University in 2008 with bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering and Business Administration. After completing her M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU), she began working as a research assistant at Anadolu University. During her doctoral studies, she served as a visiting researcher at Kyushu University in Japan. Upon completing her Ph.D., she joined the Faculty of Engineering at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University as a faculty member in 2017. She later conducted her postdoctoral research at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom, where she worked as a Research Associate. Dr. Özsin is currently serving in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University and has also delivered guest lectures at Anadolu University and Eskişehir Technical University. Her research interests include the kinetic and thermodynamic modeling of thermochemical conversion processes such as pyrolysis, carbonization, and oxidation; the synthesis and applications of carbon-based materials and composites for environmental and energy storage technologies; and material characterization studies.

Dr Ertugrul works as an Assoc. Prof. of Biosystems Engineering at Kirsehir Ahi Evran University and, serves as Vice Dean of Faculty of Agriculture. He chairs the Div. of Agricultural Energy Systems and formerly was Assoc. Director of the Grad. School of Natural&Applied Sciences. His research focuses on farming technologies, WEF Nexus and OHS; he also teaches grad-undergrad courses.

He received his Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees from Marmara University. His research interests include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, High Performance Computing.
