- Manuscripts must be uploaded in accordance with the article template prepared according to the journal’s writing guidelines. Manuscripts that are not prepared according to the template will be rejected directly.

- When submitting a manuscript through the DergiPark system, two separate files must be uploaded: one file containing the author’s name and affiliation details, and another file that does not contain any personal data. The first file must include the author’s full name and affiliation information, while the second supplementary file must not contain this information under any circumstances. Manuscripts that are not uploaded in this format will not be considered for evaluation.
- Before submitting a manuscript, authors must carefully read the content of the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) Use Policy for Scholarly Journals and strictly comply with its principles. This content can be accessed by clicking the Artificial Intelligence Policy tab located on the right side of the journal’s homepage.
PUBLICATION PRINCIPLES
- The Journal of Faculty of Letters of Bartın University, which began publication in 2016, is an international peer-reviewed journal published twice a year, in June and December. Manuscripts submitted to the journal are reviewed by the Editorial Board in terms of their suitability for the journal’s aim, subject, content, and spelling-punctuation rules. Manuscripts found to comply with the journal’s writing guidelines are sent, with author names anonymized, to two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field for scientific evaluation. The decision on whether manuscripts will be published is made according to the reviewer reports.
- The language of the journal is Turkish. However, provided that the number does not exceed two articles per issue, articles in other Turkic dialects and foreign languages may also be included.
- Manuscripts to be published in the Journal of Faculty of Letters of Bartın University must not have been previously published elsewhere. Papers that have been presented at a scientific meeting but not published may be accepted for publication in the journal, provided that this is clearly stated.
- All scholarly responsibility for the manuscripts belongs to their authors.
- In the same issue of the journal, more than one work by the same author as the first author cannot be published.
- Copyright and Publishing Rights: Authors retain the copyright of their works published in the Journal of Faculty of Letters of Bartın University. By submitting their manuscripts to the journal, authors grant the Journal of Faculty of Letters of Bartın University the non-exclusive right of first publication and the right to publish, archive, index, and distribute the published version in accordance with open access principles.

WRITING GUIDELINES
For review/research articles, the full text of the manuscript, including the abstract and references, must not exceed 9,000 words.
For book reviews/introductions, the full text, including references, must not exceed 3,000 words.
Article Title
The article title must be written in Cambria font, 14-point size.
Author Name
When uploading the manuscript to the DergiPark system, two files must be uploaded. The first file must include the author’s full name and affiliation information, while the second file must not contain this information under any circumstances.
The author’s name must be written in Cambria font, 10-point size, and the author affiliation information must be completed in full.
Öz
Research/review articles must include an abstract in both Turkish and English at the beginning of the manuscript.
Book reviews must not include Turkish or English abstracts.
The Turkish abstract must be at least 200 and at most 250 words. It must be written in Cambria font, 10-point size, black, italic, and in block format without paragraph indentation. This section must include information about the aim, method, findings, and evaluation of the findings of the study. You may delete this section without disrupting the formatting and replace it with your own abstract.
Abstract
The English abstract must be no more than 250 words. It must be written in Cambria font, 10-point size, black, italic, and in block format without paragraph indentation.

Headings
Headings in the main text must be written in 12-point size, with the first letters capitalized.
Main Text
The main text must be written in Cambria font, 12-point size, justified, and with paragraph indentation.
All manuscripts must be prepared on A4 paper size, with margins set to 2.5 cm. In addition, all paragraphs in the text must be formatted using the paragraph feature of MS Word as follows: before spacing 6 pt, after spacing 6 pt, and line spacing set to “Multiple” 1.15. The first paragraph after a heading must be written without indentation, and each subsequent paragraph must begin with a 1 cm indentation. The content of the manuscript must be written in Cambria font, 12-point size, and justified. One blank line must be left between sections.
Tables and Figures
APA 6 rules must be followed in the presentation of tables and figures. For examples, see Table 1 and Figure 1. It is important that all tables and figures be explained in the text. For tables with many rows and columns, gray shading may be used to improve readability.
References
All in-text citations must be included in the reference list. Similarly, every reference listed in the bibliography must be cited in the text.
APA 6 must be used as the citation style. Examples of references according to APA 6 are provided below.
Conclusion
Every article must include an evaluation section. Information on whether the study has achieved its aim must be provided in this section. This section may be titled Conclusion and Recommendations, Conclusion and Evaluation, Discussion and Conclusion, or with similar headings.
