Bayburt University Journal of Science

Bayburt University Journal of Science (BUFBD), which started publication in 2018, is an internationally qualified peer-reviewed scientific journal. The journal is published in Turkish and English and is issued electronically twice a year (June and December). As of 2026, the journal accepts only “Research Article” submissions within the scope of science and engineering. This journal is an open access journal, and all content is made freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

The journal accepts manuscripts only through the Dergipark online system provided by TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM. Manuscripts submitted via email are not accepted. Authors who submit their manuscripts through the online system can also track the publication process through the same system. Bayburt University Journal of Science applies a double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief for their suitability to the journal’s scope and compliance with similarity requirements. Manuscripts deemed suitable are then forwarded to the Editor for technical and formatting checks in accordance with the journal guidelines. Manuscripts that meet the technical and formatting requirements are assigned to the relevant Associate Editor. The Associate Editor sends the manuscript to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. In the double-blind peer review process, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Associate Editor submits a recommendation, and the final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the assigned editor.
