Article Evaluation Process
A. Submission Phase
1. Prepared manuscripts should be submitted to the journal editorial office by uploading them to the system via Dergipark. All stages, including referee review, are carried out through Dergipark.
2. The work submitted for publication in the journal must not have been published anywhere before or sent for publication.
3. A copyright transfer form must be filled out and sent with the work submitted for publication in the journal.
B. Preliminary Review Phase
1. All manuscripts submitted to CUHAD for publication will be examined by plagiarism software (Turnitin or Ithendicate). As a result of this examination, articles with a plagiarism rate exceeding 30% will not be evaluated.
2. The works submitted for publication in the journal are subject to preliminary evaluation by the editorial board. At the preliminary evaluation stage, the authors must complete the corrections requested by the editorial board within 15 days. If the correction is not made in time, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the work without contacting the author.
C. Referee Evaluation Process
1. Studies submitted for publication in CUHAD are evaluated within the scope of double blind peer review. Peer review is carried out with the participation of at least two referees.
2. The manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal are not published without the favourable opinions of the anonymous referees or a new manuscript containing the corrections suggested by the referees. If one of the referees gives a positive and the other a negative opinion, the manuscript is sent to a third referee. If the editorial board evaluates the referee reports and does not feel the need to appoint a third referee, it may reject the manuscript itself.3. The period given to the referees for evaluation is 30 days and this period can be extended by 10 days in case of necessity. If the referee evaluation report is not sent in due time, the editorial board may appoint a new referee without contacting the referee.
4. The author is given 15 days to complete the corrections specified in the evaluation report sent by the referee. If the author does not complete the corrections within this period, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the work without contacting the author.
