Kaolin Uygulamasının Cevizlerde Bazı Bitki Fizyolojik Özellikleri Üzerine Etkileri

Abstract
Bu çalışmada,
cevizlerde güneş yanıklığına karşı doğal bir kil minerali olan kaolin
uygulamasının bitkinin fizyolojik özellikleri üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır.
2010 ve 2011 yıllarında yürütülen denemede Payne, Serr ve Pedro ceviz çeşitleri
kullanılmıştır. Kaolin uygulamasına Haziran ayında %6’lık doz ile başlanıp üç
hafta ara ile %4 ve %2 olarak tekrar edilmiştir. Çalışmada kaolin uygulamasının
cevizde sıcaklık, stoma iletkenliği, fotosentetik kuantum etkinliği, yaprakta toplam
klorofil miktarına ve meyvelerde güneş yanıklığına etkilerine bakılmıştır. Sonuç
olarak, kaolin uygulamasının bitki sıcaklığının aşırı yükselmesini önlediği,
stoma iletkenliği ve toplam klorofil miktarına olumsuz yönde etkisi olmadığı ve
meyvelerde güneş yanıklığını azalttığı tespit edilmiştir.

Effects of Kaolin Application on Some Plant Physiological Properties in Walnuts

Abstract
In this study, the effects of kaolin, which is a
natural clay mineral against sunburns, on the physiological properties of the plant were investigated. The
experiment was carried out between 2010 and 2011. Payne, Serr and Pedro walnut
cultivars were used as plant materials. The
application of kaolin started in June with a dose of 6% and continued
on a three weeks interval with 4% and respectively 2%. The study analyzed the effects of kaolin application on the temperature of
the walnut, stoma conductivity, photosynthetic quantum activity, total amount of chlorophyll on the leaf
and sunburn in fruits. As a result, it
was found that kaolin application prevents overheating of the plant and has no
negative effect on stomatal conductance and total amount of chlorophyll and to reduce
sunburn in fruits.
