This study aims to investigate the similarities and differences between Turkish andHungarian phonologic structures within a comparative observation technique.Within this scope, Selen (1979) and Ergenç (1989) were used for Turkish andSzende (1994) and Gosy (2004) were based for Hungarian phonological structure. Both languages which carry double consonants are affected by vowel ha mony andconsonant assimilation. As for the main point where the phonological structures oflanguages are seperated is related to the effect of long and short vowels which is asuprasegmental phoneme on Hungarian.
